If you have never tried Chalk Couture, the new year is a perfect time to give it a try.  Whether you consider yourself crafty or feel you don’t have a crafy bone in your body, Chalk Couture is about the simplest, most unique and beautiful craftiness I know. A few weeks ago, I had 9 and 11 year olds using our reusable silkscreen transfers and Chalk Paste for the very first time. The entire process took only minutes and ended up with two perfect artsy projects for their rooms.

I would never encourage anyone to wait for an End of the Year Special to give Chalk Couture a try. Of couse since it is here now, I am definitely saying that it is time! Family Chalk Time is the Best Time!

Family Chalk Time is always fun! Not too long ago I was blessed with the opportunity to get together with family for a few days. Both daughters were there, as well as both grandbabies. (ALWAYS an awesome bonus). We decided to do a short bit of chalking while Dad and Grandpa watched the li’l munchkins.

Hais is positioning the different pieces of our Happy Fall Y’all silkscreen transfer on a artist’s canvas. This was the first time we had chalked together.

She made quick work of her artwork and promptly displayed in on her new fireplace mantel.

This was just a quick little impromptu mother-daughter chalk session that I hope will become a regular event with both daughter.  Crafting together is always a fun family bonding moment.

The Holidays will be here before we know it.  Though it is still quite warm here in Kansas, we are slowly approaching the end of Summer.  I cannot help to turn my thoughts to the festivities ahead.  As if the anticipation of Autumn’s glorious unfolding of colorful splendor wasn’t enough excitement for me, the Chalk Couture new Designer Starter Kit is being introduced to finish out the year.

September 1st is marked in green on my calendar and I am READY! When I first joined the company,  I had no idea of any corporate philanthropic endeavors  or of the Chalk Couture Watts of Love campaign. Discovering that Chalk Couture supported the non-profit, green and sustainable initiative of Watts of Love made me realize that my decision to begin this new journey was indeed a wise choice. Through education, support and guidance, Watts of Love helps poverty stricken communities to help themselves to move toward a more sustainable future and therefore leading to a successful break in the cycle of generational poverty.

Thank you so much for following along with me as I begin my Chalk Couture Journey. Normally, I am a fast start, let’s-get-this-show-on-the-road kind of gal, but family always comes first. I couldn’t wait to become a new Chalk Couture Designer and knew I wanted to join on Independence Day (a little personal, ironic symbolism here), so I joined knowing that it would be a few weeks for me to actually begin. As my commitments and projects fell into place, I (not-so) patiently waited until I could actually begin to become best friends with my new Chalk Couture Designer Kit.

I am no stranger to chalk paint or direct sales, but Chalkology Paste and Inks are horses of a different color. So that is where MY Chalk Couture party starts, learning about the products and how to use them.
